Vendors that provide each product

CHME works closely with hospital discharge planners, homecare therapists and hospice nurses to ensure equipment can be provided as fast as possible. Some items are stocked in consignment closets in key medical facilities to allow for immediate discharge of mobility-impaired patients. Standard items are stocked on our delivery trucks every day to enable same day delivery for acute emergency situations, and non-acute orders can generally be drop-shipped or delivered to the home on the next business day. CHME has a dedicated team of delivery drivers who are available to help with setups, training and repairs.

CHME also offers a full spectrum of mobility enhancing, skin protective and positioning items that help with patient activities of daily living while recovering in their home. With these products, even patients at high disability levels can maintain an optimal level of performance and participation in activities of daily living in the home.

  • Several types of walkers, including rollators with seats and baskets, as well as canes and crutches for those with difficulty walking
  • Standard, lightweight, high back reclining and transport wheelchairs help the mobility impaired and their caregivers to complete basic activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting in the home, and also provide enhanced mobility in the community
  • Hospital beds (semi and fully electric) allow for appropriate positioning of patients who need to rest with their head or legs elevated, or require frequent position changes
  • Skin protective mattress overlays, such as gel pads and alternating air pressure pads, to help with the prevention of bed sores
  • For those who require more serious wound therapy, we can provide low air loss mattresses that minimize pressure on the body while in bed
  • Bedside commodes help with toileting for those who cannot reach their regular bathroom
  • For those who have difficulty getting in and out of the tub or shower, CHME can provide shower chairs and tub transfer benches to prevent falls
  • For the severely weakened, CHME offers hydraulic patient lifts with slings that make it easier for caregivers to transfer patients in and out of bed, onto a commode or into a wheelchair
